1 Kicker L7 or 1 JL 13w7 in a sealed inclosure with the right amp? Which would put out better sound?

and also which of thse 2 would sound better, 2 Alpine Type S's or 1 Alpine Type R?

This will be my second project after I finish my other install.

I think the JL would have better sound quality.  I have not really heard the Alpine's but I am sure someone will get back to you on them.  Good Luck!

yo, what do you mean by which sounds better. do you mean louder or on clarity. because either way you are comparing the wrong subs in terms of the jl and the kicker. the kicker will go much louder but will not compare to the jl on sound quality. ?????

Let's put it this way.....they'll be going into the back of a Blazer. Which would "sound" better from people who actually know what both sound like. Which would produce better bass? Just nice deep bass.

Same goes for the Alpines. Which would be the best? 1 type R or 2 type S's?

Nice bass, but nothing too loud?

The JL hands down will sound better than the kicker. I'm growing to like the L7's but they still sound like sh*t. They are not designed to sound good. The JL on the other hand, is one of best sounding subs I've ever heard.
As far as your second question, that depends on what box is built for each of the speakers. They will both sound good, I'd go with the Type R.

Thanks. That's what I wanted before, was the JL but I've also heard that L7's were louder, so I came here for second opinions. I got the sub ready to be bought with a JL 1000.1 amp. it'll be in a sealed box.

can't wait to hear how it'll sound.

l7's will go 'silly' loud depending on the box you put them in. But oonikfreleyoo said, the w7's have got killer sq. they will give a nice loud bass to your system but will quite subtle to the l7's which will defen you. if u know what i mean! if you want an all over best of both worlds why not look into an RE XXX or adire brahma. very good sql subs and they will go loud like you want.
