Wiring Quad Voice Coils

Could anyone out there tell me how to wire quad 1.5 ohm voice coils together to get at least a 1 ohm load from my amp.Chris Sr.

there is a wiring calculator for ohm loads on the left of the screen in the blue if you wire all the coils in parallel you will get .375 there is only a handful of amps that can handle that load what amp and sub combo do you have  ?1974 ford pinto 4 15" punch Z power punch bd 1001 pioneer DEH-6700

I have 2-15" MA Audio Kore 15's that I want to hook each one up to two individual amps. The amps are the MA Audio HK802SX (1 X 4400Watts RMS @ 1 ohm). I am trying to figure out how to wire my subs to them to get the 4400 watts performance. The Kore 15's are very simular to the MA Audio EHO series subs. ( 5000 watts rms/ 10000 peak)Chris Sr.

Blowntweeters is right. The best you can do with that equipment is a 1.5ohm load on each amp. You "could" do it at .375ohm load, but the amps will either go into protect, or just blow. So your best bet is a Parrellel/series connection, ending in a 1.5ohm loade on each amp.

Hey guys thanks for your help. Earlier today I was contacted by MA Audio Representative who suggested a series/ parallel combination on the sub to get 1.3 ohms and use all the voice coils. The way they suggested was to wire one positive to the next coils negative. On the opposite side of the sub woofer do the same thing. Then wire the two remaining negative together and run to the negative of the amp, the two remaining positives together and on to the positive of the amp.
