is there anyway that a double din radio would fit??

example the 01+  Mitsubishi Eclipse look like it has a double din opeaning and there interior is the same as in the sebring..?? if i were to take the center panel off of a eclipse and put it on my sebring wouldi be able to install a double din sized radio in its place???

or would i be able to modify my excisting center plate for a double din sized radio?

thanks ! Vince

If it's only a 1.5 din and your trying to fit a double din in that hole you will have to do some custom fitting.

The Mitsu is a double DIN and the Sebring is a 1.5 DIN, the opening on both vehicles are larger than the radio, so the 2 DIN will fit into the 1.5 DIN opening, but the trim piece will not. Custom work is needed for this as well as the brackets will need to be customized.
