port tube information

Hello All,

I bought a PRO BEND Bandpassive sub woofer box off of E-Bay but it did not come with the port tube lenght instruction sheet.

Does anyone happen to have this information or know who makes this box.  The plexiglass has "PRO BEND BY R/T" on it.

I purchased a dual 12" box made by PRO BEND BY R/T  from my local Best Buy store but they have discontinued this brand.

Any help would be appreciated.

So you're saying you bought a fiberglass bandpass enclosure, but it came without ports installed?  Someone sold you pretty much a useless hunk of junk.  Contact the seller and ask them for the rest of your enclosure or get your money back.  But then you also mention purchasing something from Best Buy.  Hmm, now I don't know what you're talking about.  Take it back for a refund.

Then go to a car audio shop and spend your money with a pro purchasing something that will work.

I am not saying the box came with out ports. The ports are in there and I did tune the box to a set of Pioneer  subs with a Rockford Fosgate P6001 amp.  Hit very very hard.  I wanted to change over to Fosgate Subs but I lost the Port Tuning Sheet.  Best Buy does not sell it anymore and they do not have the sheets. The one bought off of E-Bay was used but in good shape but it did not come with the sheet. Guess I'll purchase a Q-Logic box.

As for purchasing from a pro, I've been that route and most of these so called pros rip you off and are usually youngsters that NOW  very little.  Had a pro(YOUNGSTER)  tell me that I could only put 4X10 inch speakers in an oldsmobile cutlass , I put in 4 6X9's and 4 10 inch subs, covered to match the interior and put another set of 6X9"s in each front door and was asked if it was from the factory, "from a pro".  I've been installing about 20 years know.

With that much experience behind you, you should go on to the next step and figure bandpass port tuning using the available programs.  UNIBOX is a good (and free) one and can be used if you've got MS Excel installed on your machine, as it is a .xls spreadsheet program.  If not, you could use  diysubwoofers to get the actual equations.

Your original post didn't come across as something an experienced installer would say!

I just wanted to know if anyone on this forum might  have this information.  If no one doesn't, then I will take care of it myself. Thought this would be an easy way to get the information and gain some information about more current products.
