Amp+Sub wiring ideas

Can anyone reccommend a suitable wiring set up for a 4 sub single amp set up. I have 2 10 inch audioahn aw1051se's and 2 audiobahn aw1251se's all for are dual 2-4-8 ohm subs and the amp is a sony xplod 1200watt 2/1 channel. The sub boxes are custom made by yours truely for a trans am 1994, the 12's are rear facing where the back seat would be and the 10's are hidden in the trunk area where the t-tops used to go. I was planning on using the 10's as mids and the 12's for lower bass. Does this seem unpractical?

Yes, it seems impractical.  When you are setting up a system so precise that you are separating sub frequencies into multiple-sized drivers, your gear should be much higher in quality.  You would need ultra-precision and additional crossover networks far exceeding the value of the gear you would be trying to set up.  Also, subwoofers shouldn't be used for mid bass reproduction...they're SUBwoofers.  And third, it is impossible with one amp (unless it were a 4 channel, but nobody in their right mind would purposefully set up such a system that way).  Suggest you choose one or the other size sub, if you intend to use them at all, and do the best you can with it.

BTW, they can't be dual 2-4-8 subs.  They would be dual 4, capable of wiring to either 2 ohms or 8 ohms each.  Look to the left column for the woofer wiring diagrams.

There are so many issues with this that I don't know how to begin..... What steve said is 100% correct and is a good starting point, but man... about the only thing I can really recommend is for you put all your gear, still in the cardboard boxes, into your car and get to a professional car audio shop in your area as quickly as you can and beg to pay an installer to set up a proper system for you.  Do not pass GO, definitely plan to lay out more than $200.
