Does anyone know how to attach a Gathers CD player to the stock cassette unit? It is going into a 1992 Accord Sedan LX. I know there is the 8 pin that goes to the back of the cassette player, but I am trying to find the attachement piece inside the car to power the unit. It's the white connector that supposedly there is a piece near the radio that connects to the cd player. I changed out the factory tape player for a 1997 Accord tape player with cd player controls.
Here is a link to the unit that I just bought. Says it came out of a 91 Accord Coupe. Thanks.

You have to use the proprietary CD changer when using an OEM deck with changer controls.  It's more expensive to replace with OEM than it is with aftermarket.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Not to sound dumb, but what do you mean by the proprietary cd player? Would I not be able to use this cd player with my factory tape player?
