OK so my amp has never had an issue before. Been installed in my car for about 6 months now and in another car for 2 yrs before that. All of a sudden yesterday it stopped turning on. The fuse is good and it is getting power. I tried rewiring the remote wire and nothing. But if i use a wire and cross the battery and the remote turn on at the amp, it turns on, but only if the remote wire is hooked up and the stereo is turned on. If i try to cross it when the Stereo is off, it wont turn on at all. Why would it turn on only under those conditions?

That is a helluva riddle.

Thinking on this one.......

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Sounds like there's no power on the main power lead to the amplifier. Even if the fuse looks good visually, it doesn't always mean that it is. Check it with a meter and let us know what you find.

I feel like such an idiot. The wire from the battery to the amp apparently had 2 inline fuses in it and i was not aware of it. One of them blew and that was my issue
