This headunit doesnt turn on. All the connections are right and etc. I seen a kit on Ebay that can possibly fix this problem for $30. Can this problem be fixed without the kit? Im not really looking to spend money to fix it and definately not going to take it in for a repair. Anybody else experience this from this type of headunit? Any help is appreicated.

Thanks.

re you sure that you have power and accessory at the wires in the car, did you use a multimeter to test them?

Yes. I tested it with a multimeter and it gets power to it. It just doesnt turn on. I heard these are common for these types of problems? But the head unit is currently out of the car right now so I could troubleshoot it a little easier. I hooked up a 13.3v battery from my drill to test it and it still doesnt turn on.

Don't know if it is a common problem with these, but it happened to me... I took it in for repair. Cost me $80. Didn't get an explanation from the shop as to what exactly the problem was... just the obligatory, had some loose connections, weak solder points, and bad parts. Duh... Oh well. Sorry I couldn't help more than saying fixing it shouldn't cost that much at a shop.
