O.K  let's get down and dirty.  I'm redoing my system in my 95 Chevy Caprice, and I want to upgrade from six 12's, and 2 Amps., to 2 Solo-Baric X 12's, and 4 Amps.  The only reason I'm I going to 4 Amps is because the first 2 amps. pound so hard I dont want to do away with them.  I figure 3000 Rms to each woofer should put me right where I need to be.

This is the Install:

2 Kicker Solo-Baric X 12's ( at 2500 Rms ea.)

4 Hifonics BX1500 Mono Amps.

1 Hifonics Multi- ch. amp.

Now can anyone help me with wiring the amps. and getting the Pwr. I need to run the system

Thank you greatly needed!

although the brutus's are class d amps i could not find anything in the spec sheets or manuals look here.( http://www.maxxsonics.com/hifonics/ampsnew_brutusamps_spec.html

to say they are capable of strap mode. witch is what you need to do in order to get two amp's on each of those subs. i've never used hifonics amps, so would call the company and see if they are capable of strap mode.

your power situation will need to start at the altenator upgrade and the big three upgrade with a goooood deep cycle battery. do a search on ireggi alt. or a search in this forum will provide alot of info on the upgrade for the alt. and the big three. all the info is right here all you need to do is search it. sounddomain has a great instructional forum on the big three with pics.

getting sufficant power(current) to those amps is crucal for the hole picture.

email this guy (Dominick Iraggi [dominick@tds.net] )for the high output altrnators.

JUST ONE MORE AMP!!!
hu,alpine cva 1005/dva 5205
sound processor,symmetry(first one).
sub amp,power 1000 the terminator.(1992).
subs,spl comp dual 1 ohms.
punch 150hd on a 10" ev.

I was wondering about how to wire my new system.  Now I'm running 6000 wtts and I'm not trying to run the system with the engine off.  So do I still need another battery, and isolator.  I do plan to run 2, 10 farad caps.

Some upgrades are high output alternator and the big 3 if needed.

Updated 1-3106

There are some new addictions to the system, which include:

Do I need more than 1 Optima Yellow top deep cycle.

2- Hifonics 4ch. amps.

4- Hifonics BX1500 amps

Big 3 upgrade

200 Amp. High output alternator

2- 5 Farad stiffing Caps. (just to make sure you rate your cap. rms pwr., so it will be 2500 rms each)

I contacted Kicker and they say you can run 2 amps to 1 sub as long as the gain are set the same.

The amps will be ran at 2 ohms each at 1000 wtts. Rms, Is it possible to set your gain on you amps. to 44.721Vlt   Square root( 2 ohms X 1000 wtts. RMS).  Please verify for me.

Ant help will be greatly appreciated!  Thank You
