Ok thanks for looking.  I am doing an install on a friends car.  He has a MB Quart PWE304(4 ohm DVC) powered by a Polk Momo c300.2.  I currently have the sub wired to give the amp an 8 ohm load.  It is not putting out what we are looking for.  I have the gain at 3/4 and I don't like to go any higher.  The amp doesn't get hot even when cranked for a while.  Do you think I should try to wire the sub into a 2 ohm load and keep the gain low to pull more power out of it.  If I can't fix the situation he is going to have to buy a 2ohm DVC.

If the amp is "stable" (piss poor wording in my opinion) wire the sub for 2 ohms.

Yeah that is where my question goes awry.  The amp is not stable into 2 ohms mono so I guess even with the gain down, NOT 2OHM STABLE MEANS NOT 2OHM STABLE.

Correct. Don't try to run that amp at 2 ohms mono.
