I have an original Sirius FM modulated satellite system in my truck.

I got a pioneer AVIC-D1 which support sirius radio.....
I was wondering if my original sirius antenna will work in the new SIR-PIN1
radio tuner unit?

Anyone know?

Or will I have to replace my original Sirius antenna and use the new one?
Would like to keep my old one because I have to remove the headliner to fish the wire.

You'll just have to try and see.  Some units use an antenna with a weird end on them (look kind of like a round phone charger plug).  Some older style units have a different plug end (the plastic part that snaps onto the sirius tuner), which you can carefully remove with a pick tool.  Look and see if the inner/outer conductors are the same on both antennas.  If I do this, I'll put some heat shrink on the outside to cover what's exposed when it's plugged in.  Then I'll secure the lead in place with a zip tie to keep from stressing it since it can't snap in place.

If it were me though, and the new antenna is much smaller than the old one, I'd install it for a lower profile.  I've never had to remove a headliner to install one.  You can usually just drop the back end to get it in, then tuck it along the outsides.

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
