Im going to attempt to install a 4 channel amp to my factory non-mach sterio using a Scosche SLC4. Does any one know the color code of the wires in the factory harness?

I know I should swap out the sterio and speakers, but thats not an option right now. I have a JVC KS-AG214, four channel amplifier (Continues Power 40 watts per channel (4 channel)) just sitting around so I figure I though it in. That is if I dont #$%^ it up 05 Ford Escape non-mach wiring color -- posted image.

The easiest way would be to buy and aftermarket harness (into car) and a reverse harness (into factory radio) for your vehicle.  Then you can just wire the line out converter to the first harness, and the second harness will give you leads to connect your amp outputs to.  All other wires- power, acc, ground, etc. can just be connected together (red to red, etc.).  This will take out the guess work.

You could also just buy one of the harnesses to reference the wires from, or read the sticky labelled "how to figure out stereo wiring".

Thats what im looking for, I just cant find a reverse harness. Any ideas on where I can get one? That way I also will not have to cut the factory harness.

Thanks again

Check Circuit City (I believe they actually stock them), Best Buy, Car Toys, etc.  Even if they don't have them in stock, they can order them for you.
