This is an install I just did for my buddys car. Obviously its not 100% complete as you can see by the missing floor. Dont yell at me for the crappy equipment because he already had it and it still works so might as well keep it. All I did was the custom work. I think the hardest part about it was fixing all of the mistakes best buy did when they originally installed the amp kit. The worst part was they draped the 4ga wire over the back of the engine and the wire was slowly welding to the engine. god i hate best buy! lol. enjoy!

Dude... Why'd you put all that effort into a Focus? Just kidding! Looks great! Really awesome!
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I totally agree with you. only reason why I did it was because it was for a friend and I like gaining the experience. Im definitely not a ford fan.

Very clean, good job.  How long did this take you to complete- was it just spare time on the weekends?

Well I started on the first of the month and worked at it on and off untill yesteday. I was also out of town for a week somewhere in between. So it wasnt too bad. Maybe 120 total hours. That includes time to fix all of my mistakes. Im still learning all the techniques of fiberglassing.

Oh trust me it definitely does boom. mostly due to the fact that its in a hatchback but also because its built pretty close to spec. I didnt actually measure the airspace but im pretty good at guestimating. This setup makes these subs acuurate as they are ever going to get.

Thanks velocity. I wouldnt mind doing it for a job except im full time military. Ive already had offers from the local shops say they would hire me on the spot if i could work full time. Maybe when I get out ill try it full time for a bit. My downsides though are that i have no experience with alarms, car theater, or complicated electrical work. If I could be a dedicated custom box builder id be all for it!
