I am running a Clarion DXZ845MC (6 channel output) head to an Eclipse PA5532 (5 channel).
My interconnects is a Memphis 5 channel (so there is no confusing hook up).
The problem I am having is I can’t control the sub volume. I have the option of 3 or 5 channel on the amp; I am running it at 5 channels.
I can disconnect the sub input and the sub still works, but if I unplug the rear channels the sub shuts off.
Head has a volume control for sub and that has no effect on it.
Had the same situation when I had my Clarion VRX935VD in.
Is there something wrong with the amp?
Have sent an email to Eclipse about a month ago and still have heard back so I thought I’d come back here.

It seems to me that you've got a setting wrong somewhere on the amp, where the sub channel recieves signal from the rears.  Check your manual and see.  Also, double check your rca connections behind the deck (sub out on deck to sub in on amp, etc.).
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

The setup on the amp is pretty basic ... gains, line level in, rca in and a 3ch/5ch switch.
I have the gains set and the switch set to 5 channel.
Any other ideas?
