I have a customer who recently purchased a 2006 grand prix, and they are very unhappy with the "speed sensitive volume" feature. This feature raises the volume as the car's rpms increase to compensate for car noise, and decreases the volume when the car slows down or stops. The volume range is extremely wide, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to reclaibrate it so to speak, or bypass this feature all together without replacing OEM parts. thanks

Tell your customer there is something lurking in their glove box called an owner's manual. If they actually decide to stop complaining and take a second or two, it will tell them they can simply turn this feature off. Another case of RTFM (Read the %^&*$#@ manual).

Or dont tell them, then you go and do it for them then charge them for it. They came to you, you are the expert, fix it for them, you are happy they are happy, win win all around.

Bring it back to the dealership. It's a brand new vehicle so they should be able to service them on this or at the very least, look into it for them.

yah usaly there is some "code" that you can enter with the buttons on the dash to turn it off on others with menus features you can switch it on and off
