I came upon some infinity kappa 4x6 panel speakers, And was going to put them in my dash where there is a 4x6 plate, but with only a 1" tweeter in it, I go to put them in and there was not enough depth to be able to fit them either way.
I put 4x6s on the dash of my 95 S-10 and it was basically the same thing, very tight, but they fit. The 98+ blazer or S-10 are the same though. Has anyonereplaced the dash speakers in them before, And what are the tips/secrets I'd want to know.
I did a fast google search, they are basically these, but white? I dunno...

Well if anyone has any tips let me know. Thanks. My vehicle is being completely decked out with Damplifier this weekend, and i want to try and get these speakers in while its all ripped apart. Thanks.

The problem with the 4x6 speakers is that they are not all designed to fit all vehicles that have a 4x6 hole. They fit in Ford's & Jeeps but I have found that the 4x6 in GM's do not fit many of the 4x6 speakers made by aftermaret companies aside from Pioneer 4x6's.

crappppaaaa, that is what i was fearing. I remember in my s10 i could only install them one way in both sides, the tweeter was on the left (not both on the outside or inside, which is for some reason what i wanted).
Anyoneeee do it, I seen some people have noramlish 4x6s up there on cardomain, but nobody has ever talked about fittment.
Also, if i want 4x6s? pioneers will fit? can you set up a link to exactly what you are refering to. Thanks guys.

Quite often it is the drivers side only that gives you grief. If you are careful you can cut the corner off of the back of the guage cluster to create more space. Be super carefull though as there is a flexible circuit board trace in behind it. Once the corner is out, the speaker should fit. The passenger side should give you no issues.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

ok, it is the drivers side that i originally tested, having known this now, I will test passenger side now, and if that looks easy i will cut some of the guage section. Would you just suggest like a roto zip type tool? Also, I believe if i have it so the tweeter is in the inside i may just have to cut into a little ductwork for the heating/AC system. I dont know, But I will definatly get it in there somehoe if it seems ar all possible. Thanks for your information guys 99 Chevy Blazer, s10 Dash Speakers -- posted image.

The model number for the pioneers that fit is ts-4670r, they are 3 ways. They have 2 ways out this year ts-g4641r I am not sure if they are a drop in though. They also have the ts p462 which is a plate speaker should fit also. On drivers side it can be trimmed as Rob stated just be really careful. I just learned that trick on friday, made me a little nervous99 Chevy Blazer, s10 Dash Speakers -- posted image..

Use a file to grind down the section instead of a cutting tool. THis will give youmore control of how much your taking off.

PHEWWWW just did tons of stuff today, i took apart all my doors and Damplified them 99 Chevy Blazer, s10 Dash Speakers -- posted image. and it sounds awesome!!! 10x better, like nooo vibrations anymore unless its CRANKEDD wayy up. And I did those dash speakers, only having to modify the mounting hole on the driver side one to clear the tweeter depth on the outside. And the passenger side fit fine.   The speaker grills also needed to be modified (same type as the 94-97 dash (i did on my old s-10 as well)) becauase the extra height of the 4x6 plate the infinity speakers are build on.   SOUNDS AMAZING! I couldnt be happier, thanks for the input guys.99 Chevy Blazer, s10 Dash Speakers -- posted image. 99 Chevy Blazer, s10 Dash Speakers -- posted image. 99 Chevy Blazer, s10 Dash Speakers -- posted image. 99 Chevy Blazer, s10 Dash Speakers -- posted image. 99 Chevy Blazer, s10 Dash Speakers -- posted image. 99 Chevy Blazer, s10 Dash Speakers -- posted image.
