Currently looking at interior and sub amplifiers. Here is my problem, I was looking at the Rockford T4004 (@90x4 RMS) for the interior and the T5001bd (@927x1 RMS) for the subwoofers. I was do to purchase these tonight but was asked by a friend to hold off and talk to a local JL Audio Rep. So I did and the rep. first recommend the A4300 (@45x4 RMS) and the A1800D (@1000x1 RMS), then followed by saying now that Rockford is built overseas that the quality of thier amps have went down the tubes and I could never get the above wattages out of them and the quality (both build and THD) is extremely poor compared to that of JL. From a price stand point I can get the Rockford cheaper than JL. And IF Rockford's postings are correct then wattage would be more than JL as well. But if the JL rep. is correct (which I understand he is a salesman) then the JL would last longer and give me 100x better sound quality. Someone please help me.

Pressed post prior to review...sorry...This is concerning the JL Audio A Series amps and not the Slash amps. But I would also like to amend by asking if the is any major difference functionally bewteen the A Series of '06 and the E Series of '05 as well as my above questions?
