how to get 400w x 2

hello havent been here for a while but anyways, i bought this old school fosgate amp and i want to know how to wire some subs to get 400 watts at 2 ohms? I know its easy but for some reason my brain isnt working right now, also what subs do i buy? 2 ohm 4 ohm? i used the wiring wizard or whatever its called but that gives you scenarios for a 1 ch amp i think, what i want is to get 400w from each of the channels. I kinda think i have to buy two 4ohm subs but not sure, and dont know how to wire them, im pretty sure once someone tells me how to get the 400w ill feel like a pet monkey for not remembering thanx guys again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!btw amp is a 800@2

Your best bet for that amp would be to get single 4 ohm drivers if you are using 2 or dual 2 ohm coils if you find some like that (2) single VC 4 ohm can make 2 ohm (2) DVC 2 ohm can make 2 ohm there are other one sub configurations but you said sub(s) a few times so I assume 2 2009 0-1000 Trunk WR 154.0DB 2009 1001+ Trunk WR

yes, im sorry im going to use 2 subwoofers, so i can buy  (2) 2 ohm dvc subs and wire them in option 1 in the wiring configuration (series/parallel) voice coils series, speakers in parallel ? i was thinking this was the right configuration just wasnt sure.

okay so if i understand correctly i am going to run the amp mono and wire the speakers in parallel, so left channel (+) and right channel (-) to get mono on a 800@2 correct? thank you guys for all your help!
