What are the best speakers can I buy for the front and rear to replace my stock speakers in my 2000 Ford Escort ZX2? What size of speakers would I need? What is the best radio I can buy to replace my stock radio and still have my cd changer hooked up and working properly?

The stock speakers are 6 x 8 all around. The best speakers are the ones you can afford..lol. Kidding aside any name brand 6 x 8 should be an improvment over the factory, especially if the original ones are worn out. What is the best is really up to your ear and your pockets.

If money is no object, or you have the skills the vehicle can be adapted to fit 6.5's, giving you more choices. You might be able to get 6x9's to fit under the rear deck and bottom mount.

There will be no aftermarket headunit on earth that will work the ford changer. Either live with an in dash CD, or buy a headunit with CD changer control and purchase the correct changer designed for that headunit.
