ok heres the situation i am installing a temporary headunit for about 3 to 4 months due to some one liking my old one and took it upon them selves to take it. but i am installing an eclipse cd 5441 in a 1997 eclipse spyder gs and i am having problem with my illumination my illumination on my gauges wont turn on any help would be great adam

Check the stereo wiring, if it was done incorrectly you could have popped the fuse for the illumination in your vehicle.

I checked all of the fuses are good any other suggestions aorry adam

ok i did some more guesstures and the dash lights will turn on if i take the illumination wire to the power wire and if i turn them to the secondary power wire they will turn on if the player is on but if i turn the lights on for like the headlights and dash it turns off i have made a better ground any other ideas why thanks adam

The radio turns off when you hook up illumination to power and turn on the headlights??

no my dash lights will turn on iff i put dimmer wire to the power
