Trouble shooting with Alpine d900

How was the reception with the factory radio installed? Was it static as well? If not, you may need to use the amplified antenna adapter, Metra 40vw53. I'm assuming you connected the label in the harness marked power antenna (which is actually the factory amp turn on in your case) to the blue wire on the Alpine. If you connect this instead to the blue/white wire from the Alpine, you should have sound on your other sources.My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

i would say if your a noob, you probably should just get that checked out by a local shop...there is only about 100 things that could be wrong. i would say there is probably some kind of amp in the vehicle that needs to be bypassed, maybe or it might be what geephearder said it could be a large number of things, which is why i would take it to a local shop and have them check it out and go from there. good luck 2007 Acura TSX
