15 memphis m1 dvc cone repair

I have patched a quarter coin size hole in an old rockford punch sub that had a paper cone with some elmers glue and some notecards...cut out a small section of notecard to fit the curve and reinforced the hole from behind...using elmers white school glue...then repainted it black...you couldn't even tell it was damaged and repaired unless you looked really closely...sounded awesome after it. I was 15 at the time and was bored and used my ingenuity lol....it worked for me...if I had that sub I would do the same thing lol

Hey aznboi3644, Thanx for the idea, i didnt have any note cards but i had a package from some CD labels that was pretty thick. I dissassembled the whole sub from the frame. I cut strips of that and used Elmers and Super glue annd attatched the cone together, then let it dry over night. Then i got some liquid nails and attatched the coil and flex back to the body then i reinforced everything with a coat of liquid nails. After it dried, i wired it up and put it back in the box with the other sub and Man it bangs again! Great idea man!

the m1 is modular and the cone can be changed easily via 'cartridges'.

Well the old RF sub had a plastic dustcap and only about 1.5 inches of paper cone all the way around....had to trace it to look nice and follow to curve of the dustcap and surround

Yea i know, but i couldnt find one anywheres. So i fixed for less than $3
