Ive been an enthusiast for years and have tweaked and imporved my system all along  but i kept blowing speakers so i did some research and came up with the solution of putting capacitors in line with my speakers to limit the frequency range thus improving my sound. I'm not all about SPL, I just like good clean sound.  i used to live in toronto and would abore the 2 hour commute anywhere with cracking speakers or ground hum or static.

So my Question would be does anyone have or know where i can get a chart or calculator, on what size of uf capacitor to use to limit  the range of my speakers. Unfortuneatly my stuff is still in transit from ontario and i cant remember what the ranges are on my speakers and which speakers will make it here alive.

any info would rock, ive tried to use the one on the site but i dont know all my specs right now as far as resistance and range limits ect

Yep. Make sure you use the right chart (2, 4, or 8ohm).

If you are only pushing about 50wrms to each speaker, you can get some cheap ones at RadioShack for about $1 apiece.

You have been an enthuiast for years, so it's time you took another step.  Get to know some of the free programs available:

Unibox

SPL Tracer

Speaker Workshop

...and other tools found within the FRD Consortium

And WinISD link can be found by reviewing the sticky subject above.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
