the best box to fit your needs

Alot of it depends on the speaker, so we need to pick the box that best fits your speaker.  If you don't have a speaker yet, then we can determine a speaker by your personal tastes.  Do you like lower, rumbling bass, or do you prefer deep thump.  The thump doesn't reach quite as low, but it is still low enough for most music.  Its not competition SPL, nor is it SQL.  Its more of that street bass that most people prefer.  The deeper, rumbling bass is my preference.  Its definately not SPL, but neither is it quite SQL.  It does, however, sound better than the more typical street system, just not quite as loud.

I agree.  I'm just trying to work off of what everybody else thinks and defines things as.  I like it deeper than 22 Hz, but most music cuts out at about 30 Hz to 40 Hz.  At least that's what everyone keeps saying...lol.   

I am currently running 4 kicker L5's in the back of my Explorer. They are in a custom sealed box with 2 seperate chambers. Personally,I like the way it sounds in the sealed box. I don't know what else to tell you but this is working for me.
