http://adireaudio.com/

Unfortunate, that was a company with some knowledgeable people, that created some great products.

Guess that's the name of the game.

I've got nothing to say, except adire is done? -- posted image.. Godspeed to all of them.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Adire may be done, but Dan Wiggins' motor designs still live.  Check out the 15" Subduction woofer from Creative Sound, for one.  www.creativesound.ca

It is sad that Adire is no more.  But there are still some great Adire influenced speaker designs still available.  Check out the link Dave provided above, as well as the Exodus Audio offerings at www.diycable.com and www.acoustic-visions.com .  The owners of those companies, Kevin Haskins and Kyle Richardson, are both stand up guys.

For those of you who care, I found an explanation from Dan Wiggins about the choice to close shop here: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?s=c70d19730939a79f5c1a7861d835838e&threadid=104524&highlight=

Dyohn, i noticed that you often mention the 15" subduction woofer from css. i was wondering if the 12" is just as good as the 15"?

I like the 15" because it has the XBL2 motor.  The 12" does not.  I'm sure it is a good driver, however.
