Hi I have a pioneer N2 installed in my 95 jeep grand cherokee. Everything was working fine until today, now the unit will pulsate on and off. The screen opens and closes slowly between pulses. I've checked the connections and I'm lost on what it could be.

Sounds like it could be a broken ribbon cable.    Pioneer did recall the units   n1 and the n2   call 1-800-PIONEER.  They will fix it for free.  You will have to pay shipping to them.   You will be without it for a few weeks too.
