I have a 2006 Jaguar X-Type. I would like to tap my external GPS unit to the Mute feature of the radio. Below are the schematics for the radio, and clearly on the second page it does show the Mute input. However, how do I test for this and determine which wire it is?

Thanks in advance.

According to the diagram  Ground is pin 1   switched 12 volts is pin 2     Constant 12 volts is pin   11.

Verify these wire locations  then it says the phone mute wire is pin 7.  Hopefully this will be enough info for you

you're not an idiot, but I am! I didn't know that the numbers corresponded to the pins testing for mute -- posted image. I remember the location of the ground, power, and switch, and it is accurate. So the Mute should be where it says.
Now I can't wait to go home and test it out.
Thanks for the help!
