93 ford explorer speaker/amp wiring

I recently bought a sony CD player for my 93 2 door Ford Explorer. I got the wire harness adapter, ect. I installed everything the way the instructions said and while the unit powered up there was no sound. Long story slightly shorter I figured I would wire the speakers without the adapter and by cutting off the L shaped plug for the wire that was in the dash. Exposing 8 color coded wires and 1 exposed wire. found this info on the wiring that i found: Left Front (+) - Green Left Front (-) - ORANGE / White Right Front (+) - RED / White Right Front (-) - Brown Left Rear (+) - Light Blue/Black Left Rear (-) - Yellow Right Rear (+) - WHITE/ Purple Right Rear (-) - Light Blue Bare Wire – Amp I found this in a closed thread here with no resolution. I wired a blue/White wire from the power harness to the amp wire and the positive speaker wires to the same now powered amp wire and I gives me sound. Only when I tired it the sound was cracked and sputtered and if I turned it up too loud (9 or so on the volume dial of the unit) it would cut out. I'm a total amateur or less. So any info is appreciated no matter how basic. Thank You

there is also an amp turn on wire i will try and find the color  of the wire for younever stop
