I'd like to thank you for the help you gave me about a year ago fitting a sub and speaker-upgrades to my motor. The thing has worked a charm since we worked out why I was blowing my front speakers.
I've now been given a company car, Its as good as free, so I wont be knocking it back, but I faced with the nightmare that is a factory fit Vauxhall Vectra stereo. I can't do much but I am thinking about fitting a stealthy Sub into the boot powered from I'm not sure where yet..
It's a small sup, the amp is only a small sony xm-255EX It has a 20 amp fuse but I doubt it actually pulls that!
I think there is a cigarette lighter in the rear of the car, anyone know what sort of current you can pull through a cigerette lighter? 8A rings a bell!

this may or may not help but could you not just look at the fuse for the cig lighter and then use that as your rough guideline?
