(did a search, couldn't find anything specific)

I'm replacing the 6 speaker system in an 07 Liberty with Kappa 3-ways 6.5 in the front and 2-way in the back. I don't want to utilize the factory tweeter.

The 3 ways come with their own passive crossover. I haven't opened up the doors yet so I don't know what is where. Is the speaker lead in the door after the crossover (ie midrange)? Where is the passive crossover? Door? Dash? Am I best to run new wiring from the deck?

Obviously I don't want to run a mid-range filtered lead into my new passive crossovers as I'll have no highs.

What's the best way to do this install?

I should add it's not the Infiniti stock system, but it is 6-speaker.

Check for a capaciter on the dash tweeter. That is usually the factory crossover. The door should be full range.

There is no such thing as free installation!

So the lead to the door speaker is full range, unfiltered? I can just connect my 6.5 to that factory wiring and disconnect the tweeter if I don't want it?

Does the front speaker lead run to the front dash tweeter location, then split from there into the tweeter and down through the door to the full range? I'm just trying to figure out where the front speakers are split into 2 channels.
