JUST  WONDERING WHAT "PURE N-CHANNEL" MEANS AND THE SPECS ON THE AMP

That means that they use only N-Channel MOSFET transistors in the output stages of the amp.  N-Channel = negative.   Some amps use N and P channel FET's.  Rockford has been using Pure N since the Punch 45 immediately before the HD series.

is this a good amp?? my brother has it hooked up to two 12s in a bandpassbox and it slams pretty hard...........could i use it to power 2 audiopipe 15's rated at 1000rms??

anyone got any idea of the specs on this amp?? i looked but coulden't find any

Why not? You rookie guys and your thought processes... Who cares about the RMS power rating of the woofer? It means NOTHING, except how much power it can handle on a continuous basis. (And by the way, Audiopipe is one step below Audiobahn, IMO, so I'd say a realistic 250 watts would be more like it, as far as real amplifier power handling capabilities...) {Can't believe I even gave ANY kind of "prop" to chrome flames...} ~~haemphyst You don't HAVE to power a woofer to it's full rated power to make it do anything. Depending on your woofer and enclosure, you could probably get VERY GOOD output. If you don't overexpect, I expect you could be very happy with that combination. The amp, in this particular case, is FAR better quality than the woofers you are trying to (or are thinkinking about) power(ing) with it. The Audiopipes are big, fluffy, furry turds, compared to that amplifier. The old MTX stuff was REALLY good gear - WAY better than a lot of gear back then - and certainly better than the MTX of today. I just don't understand why people think that just because an amplifier is "only" 100 watts, or you are going to be able to put "only" 100 watts into a woofer, it won't work. Sure, you won't get the output that the woofer might be capable of, but it'll work, and probably pretty well. In case you didn't know, or weren't aware, 100 watts is about 1/7 of a horsepower, and a TON of potential work. You, yourself, already said it "slams pretty hard". That tells me that you aren't paying attention to THE WOOFERS OR THE ENCLOSURE, and are assuming that it's all in the amplifier. It's not. Build a proper box for those 15's, and run it. Why throw good money away? If you're bent on tossing it, mail it to me, and I'll put it in my wife's car. She'd be super happy with that amp.It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
