Ok so here is the setup I am using ... I am running off of the stock head unit with the subwoofer bridged and wired in parallel. I have the rear subs hooked up to the built in inline converter of the amplifier.

THE PROBLEM: Everytime I try to go past a certain volume the subwoofer just cuts out... It is not a grounding problem because i sanded away a part of the unibody and mounted the ground down with a washer. Also if I turn the bass up higher it just cuts out as well... It is getting really annoying. For an 8" sub it fills up the hatch pretty nicely. Any help is appreciated, and yes I am not a noob, I used the search function already :P THANKS FOR THE HELP!

Remote amp has a 2 amp inline fuse because i couldnt find a 1 amp and power wire is running a 50Amp fuse as well if i remember correctly....

NO lights are dimming when bass hits as well!

wire your subs in seriesand then bridge to the amp..that should fix your problem

sorry for double post but you may first try level mathcing your hu loc and amp if not done so already....if no luck refer to my post above

yeah i tried level matching in 4 different locations of head unit and amp no luck but thanks alot ill give the rewiring a try.... :( I really did not want to re silicone the box again but if it fixes the problem. SO BE IT! ... Thanks for the help and ill get back to you once i finish this over break.

just thought of something else it may be....some car manufacturers hu have ciicuitry built into them tha as you turn the volume up past a certain point the volume actually decreases to keep from blowing the factory speakers saving the manufacturer on warrenty cost ....usually found on your premium sound packeges. ....you may be better off ditching the stock hu

This amp is at least 1 year old....correct? So a 2ohm load should be NO problem, actually ideal. Thats not much amp for that sub.

This rig has no factory amp. you can tag speaker level anywhere. What does this mean? Remote amp has a 2 amp inline fuse because i couldnt find a 1 amp.

How are you turning the amp on?

The deck shouldn't have an amp turn on output......never seen it, not in an OE deck. Make sure your sub is wired in paralell

Well the line was rated 12v i tapped in behind the facotry hu, its the headunit turn on and i just tapped into that so it just sends the 12v down the line for when the radio is on the amp is on as well.... as you said ... there is no remote turn on with this hu so i had to improvise.... is that a problem that i did that? regardless its still power and yeah im really OCD i made sure it was parallel... its - all the way through to amps - and + all the way through to amps +... i looked at a few diagrams to make sure it was correct...

unplug one of the RCA's and then turn it up and see if it cuts out...then plug it back in at high volume and see if it cuts out...
