i built this box for my SX18 and stuffed it in the back of a ford ranger (extended cab, not 4 door). i had to take the seats out just to get it in but it was definitely worth it. and im not too worried about anyone trying to take 100+ pound box.SX18, Ford Ranger Extended Cab -- posted image.

i typed that as a reply to someone and i dont know how this became its own thread ( this crime has 12volt's scent all over itSX18, Ford Ranger Extended Cab -- posted image.) but anyway the box is actually about 5.5 cubes plus the giant port which is 3W x 20H x 26L, might be a little longer its been a while since i built it. its tuned to about 30HZ and i actually use it for SQ than SPL. i wont claim to be the loudest on the block but its definitely hard to sit in the truck with it going full tilt. it does a 150.2DB on a TL meter, not sure at what frequency though. i have it running off of an Autotek MM2000.1D and i really need to upgrade my stock alternator because im sure my amp isnt getting the current it really wants to make all that power.
as far as finishing it, im really thinking about having it linex-ed. who knows, it might give me an extra DB even though the box is extremely sturdy already.

I like it Nothing against you in any was just want to let you know it looks good so far. I did not even thank of that until you said something. Anyways back to the post. I had a 15 xxx in a 4.5 tunes to 35hz in my van and hit 143.1 but that system has been updated to 4-12" mofos in the van and soon getting the new ov1-p5500d amp to add to what I got but anyways keep up the work

this isn't a new setup for me, ive had this in my truck for over 3 years now. ive placed first in almost every local usaci competition that ive been to and the last score i had was a 149.9 on a TL. it could be louder but i dont feel like messing with my bass settings that much i could also gain a DB or two if i braced the rear wall because right now it flexes about 2 inches so thats definitely lost output, but im too lazy and i got tired of going to local comps because i got tired of paying $30 for a crappy trophy.

yes everyone wants louder than 163 dbs!!! lol nice setup man. theres a guy who works in dallas here who had 2 mojo 15s and put 12,500 watts to them each at db drag finals and won world finals with a 173.3 in a van. they took the mosfet protection out of the amps and used rcas as speaker wire it was insane! lol
