Hello All: I just joined this forum as the question is about adding a relay to install a Garmin GPS and a USB port on my new ZX-10R. I have an SPST relay. The Garmin power supply only has cigarette lighter type input, so i have to connect a Cigarette lighter adaptor. I also want to install a 5 volt USB port for my mobile phone. Question is: Can I use an SPST relay to wire both those devices. I may be using both of them when I am riding, GPS for navigation while the phone is charging. (I could use phone GPS but my GPS does a good job, so far). Please advise. Thank You in advance

If the Garmin GPS power adapter is just converting 12V to 5V, I would just wire the GPS to a USB A male and power it from a dual output car cell phone charger.
How/why were you planning to use the relay?
