2004 Ford F-150 Supercab. Viper 4706 Remote Start install using a DEI 1100f for the bypass. Factory Keyless entry, no alarm.
Even though the factory keyless FOB would turn on the dome lights on unlock, the Viper unlock would not, so the (-) 200mA Dome Light Output was needed.
A rather easy install. The 1100F programmed on first try.
Wiring guides were very accurate on this vehicle.
Lower dash panel. Two bolts on bottom, two clips on top.

Very nice!  2004 Ford F-150, Viper 4706 Pictorial -- posted image.  Excellent pictures.  Can't beat those 1100F bypass modules - reliable, easy to program and great price.  How is the range on the Viper 4706 remotes?
Soldering is fun!

Nice, this is one of my favorite vehicles I've installed in. Everything is easily accessible.

Thanks for the nice comments guys.
The range on these remotes seem to be equal to the 5704 type of equipment.
From a half mile away, through a heavy wooded area, with the truck parked in a garage, I can reach the truck after a few attempts.
Had better response in the far corner of the local Wally mart,(dairy section), with the truck parked in the center aisle, far end of lot.

What gauge wire did you use with diodes to isolate the door trigger wires?
Why did you use a relay with the dome light wire (instead of just tapping the wire from the remote start system to the factory wire)?
Where did you connect your system to get 12v 30amp constant power? I thought I read somewhere that Ford's wiring was for 20amp. Or didn't your Viper system need 30amps?
I'm going to install an Excalibur alarm and remote start system in my 2004 Fx4 super cab.

I didn't use diodes as I installed a remote start, not an alarm.
I used the 12 constant at the ignition harness. No problems.

Why is a relay needed for the dome light wire?

Dome light relay...to convert the (-) signal from the Viper to a (+) signal to the dome light.
