I was just wonding what is the best way to wire my boat to put a cd player in. I have an old alpine CDM-7874. The boat now has no speakers and wireing for speakers. Any input would help... Thanks

Run a fused wire from the battery and connect it to the pos(ignition/red wire) and the acc(yellow wire). The run a ground batter directly to the battery.
Run speaker wires as normal. Just make sure you have marine equiptment. If you only have regular speakers, get a baffel for the back of the speaker.

Memphis Car Audio has put out a great line of Marine Amps, Speakers & Subwoofers...There is a set of 8" Coaxials that sound AMAZING....BUT they do require a little more wattage than your average CD player will put out...

Everything on the marine line sounds great and is very water resistent....My shop has blown up with people wanting systems on their water craft...I love it...

Addition note, you can run the +12V constant to the battery. On the switch wire (REMOTE WIRE) you can add a toggle switch in between which will give you the options of turning off the stereo when you don't want to listen to it any more.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.Boat Stereo -- posted image.
