Hello, I have a Compustar 2WSS-A that I conveniently lost the manual to. Basically, all I'm looking for is either an online copy of the install manual (no, it's not on their site anymore) or instructions for programming the AUX outputs on it to latch instead of momentary. Thanks in advance.

Well, I think I solved my own problem. It seems that the CM3000 is actually at least in the same family of brains as the 2WSS. I found this out when I looked at a picture of a 2WSS for sale, and it had a CM3000 manual. Anyway, I followed the CM3000 programming instructions on my 2WSS, and it worked. So, anyway, there you have it. Seems that compustar is just updating their stuff and calling it something different.

Calling what different? There are two series at the moment. CM3 and CM4  CM3 consists of three brains the CM4200 (starter) CM3300 (Alarm) and the CM3000 (AS). The CM4 Series is Cm4200DX (s) CM4300 (a) and CM4000 (AS) that is PRO my friend.

Oh, so the regular 2WSS line is completely no more? I dunno, I guess their naming system as changed, and it's just very confusing. My remote is a 2WSSR, and my brain is a 2WSSA. When you hover over their website's "pro" tab, it shows one of the options as "Pro 2WSSR Remote". I just figured that was my remote, but apparently the actualy model of that remote is P2WSSR. Now, you would think the brain for it would be a P2WSSA or P2WSSAS depending on the features, but actually they call it a CM3000, which, IMO, makes no sense. So, anyway, I'm still blaming Compustar for a stupid naming system. But, it is nice that their programming procedure hasn't changed.

Okay i'll make it a little more clear.

Compustar Model 2WSS = 2way Spread Spectrum     Then A= Alarm which Alarm = CM3300 or S= STarter = CM4200 Or AS= Alarm + Starter= CM3000
With any brain the 4200,3300 or 3000 which are CM which = CONTROL MODULE  have forward and backward capability. Meaning with that one brain you have you can use any remote and antenna. So now if you have thw 2wss and want the 2w900fmr you can so if you change out the remote and antenna.

2w900fmr= 2way 900mhz fm frequency R= Remote      Simple huh. Better the C3PO you know what i mean! haha

Since your behind. The PRO is a new line that uses a different brain. You CANNOT program a P2wssr to your current system and get full functional pro features. BUT it will work but you will have no 2way.
You can go the other way around though. If starting with a PRO BRAIN you can program ANY remote and antenna to the CM. Get it?

TO SUM IT UP: COMPUSTAR EVOLVES AROUND THREE BRAINS. A STARTER BRAIN, ALARM BRAIN AND A COMBO BRAIN. THATS IT. You can use any remote and antenna to upgrade your customers or downgrade your customers. Or provide them with a temp system until you get the orginal one ordered. You heard. word

Thanks for the explanation. Just too bad I'm not an installer, I just generally screw around with things. Anyway, now that I have my AUX outputs set to latch, just a little upholstery work and wiring, and I'll have the remote operated seat heaters I've always wanted. compustar 2wssa aux outputs, latch? -- posted image.
