Hey all,

I'm a former 12volt installer (MECP Installer and Product Specialist Certified) that is doing work for the department of defense that has been asked to work on a special project vehicle because of my former background.  I'll skip the details and get right to the point.

I've been asked to install a Clifford Matrix 70.5x in a government owned 06 Chevy Suburban.  Its been at least 5 years since I've installed an alarm much less a remote start alarm and I'm a tad intimidated to be honest.  I'd really like to gain access to the Directechs site (which I know is impossible now, I searched) for the tech information on this vehicle.  I've found some info on this site (I searched) on the 07 but I don't know if they differ at all and what I did find was helpfull, but not exactly all the info I was looking for.  If anyone out there can assist by posting the info from the directechs site on here for this suburban I would greatly appreciate any help I can get.  It is also for a good cause because as I said, it is going in a Department of Defense vehicle and brave individuals will be using it :)

Also, I remember that your install will only be as good as the information you use to get started so I humbly ask you all for assistance.

thanks,

-B

The '07 is different.
However, the '03-16 Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon, Yukon XL, Escalade, Escalade EXT, Escalade ESV, Silverado, Sierra, H2.......... they're all the same, and an installer favorite.
At least my favorite anyway, everything's super-easy to get to too.
If you do a search on some of those other trucks, you should be able to find the wire colors.
Also, techservices.audiovox.com or techservices.codesystems.com are some other places you can find wiring information.
You're going to want a Trilogix GM-DLBP (bypasskit.com) to take care of locks, panic, and Passlock II. The Trilogix XK-01 costs more, but also activates the rear defroster and heated seats at/below 32F.

Thanks very much guys.  I'm still struggling a little bit but getting there....the AVIC N2, GPS, iPod, XM and overhead monitor were all a snap (couldn't believe how much has come back to me) but the alarm is just plain kicking my butt!
