MY fiancee and I just bought a 04 350Z with what I believe to be a aftermarket starter kill. I can not find any info on it nor can I find any relay or main brain to see what type it is. We have the unlock code but I would like to find out what type it is so I can deactivate it, change the code, etc, etc.

I hope you guys have seen this before. The keypad picture is attached.

Thanks for looking into it. I'm been searching for a month now with nothing to show for it....very aggravating.

Agree with just being a aftermarket relay kit for an already exsisiting factory system.

that is aftermarket for sure. Do this, that keypad, pull it off since its probably held down with double side tape. on the back look for a model number or even a manufacture name. If you are willing to take apart the knee kick, there should be a brain (module) around the steering collumn area. that will have a model number for sure.

Alright here is the kicker. When we first got this, I did find a sticker under the center console that I thought might be linked to it. It was for a Tadiran Telematics, with some ID#'s and a date chart. After investigation online I found that this Tadiran is a battery manufacturer so I over looked it and thought that it just involves some sort of battery installed on this car.

Well, after you told me to look around the steering column I found something interesting, a module or unit with the same sticker on it. Odd isn't it?

But as far as I can research I do not see where this Tadiran is involved with security systems.

Help!

Found out a little more on the Tadiran:

Seen a FCC ID# and went to the FCC website to log it in to se what I could find. They had downloadable pdf's of the specs of this. Here to find out it is a vehicle location device. Still don't have a owners manual nor I know if the keypad is invovled with this.

Eureka!!

Update: Tadiran Telematics is a company in Israel that makes these systems. They are no longer a dealer. But I found was bought out by a parent group called Ituran, also in Israel. Buuut they have a group in Ft. Lauderdale FL (which the car came from!) called Iuran Lifetrak which specializes in vehicle location devices.

Called them and got the info and manuals I needed!

Thanks all for your help!
