What are you looking for in an alarm? There is really nothing special about that alarm so you could get much more for that kind of money somewhere else. You can get a 2 way FM Starter/Alarm combo for a few more bucks than that. Take a look here:

Try going to this site and get something similar or better for half that price.

I'm not a pro or nothing on this subject, but I have always used Alpine in the past and never had a problem.  There product is  vary relable and the service was always excellent.  I have a dei now, it is okay to I think (Gift).  I guess alot has to do with who installs the product.

Yeah I wasnt ragging on Alpine, I was just saying that depending on what you are looking for in alarm, you can get a lot more for your money.

The 8063 is a great unit for security. The only beef I have with mine is the range sucks ( like any other Alpine ). other than that the expandable features are great and the standard features are also awesome.  The 150R I heard is OK, but I would dish out the extra cash for the 8063 if your heart is set on Alpine and you won't be disappointed.

I totaly agree with Jeff, They may cost a little more, but vary expandable atleast i thought so, my last car 1984 Grand Prix had everything Alpine could install in it.  It was a target for thiefs. If they  could get in they could keep what ever it was they were looking for.. I thought the range was alot better than the dei (rattler 300)I have know, but maybe like I said this is because of the install .   Anyway good luck.

Commando has great standard alarms. They offer the standard protection features that protect your car, but they do not include any of the otional add-on possibilities like radar sensors or backup sirens, but if you are into taking extreme measures to protect your car you can always add things to the alarm. If you get a 2 way unit though you wont necessarily need much extra since you will be notified of an intrusion, even if a thief disables the alarm in less than 10 seconds. Now that I know what it is like to have a 2 way unit i couls never live without one.
