python 990 .

Ok first time poster long time seeker. Now few years ago i had a python 990 installed at Circuit City. All was fine until a month ago when the system would no longer do anything. Sent unit to DEI who replaced with a new unit 990. Circuit city reinstalled it took 5-10 min. Issue is with old unit when i used truck release Ch.2 AUX it would show up on remote as trunk now new unit only shows a small 2. Circuit said they don't know. So i took car home and called dei after reading the book. I did try the program remote thing with hit AUX until trunk shows, and still only shows a small 2. Called dei and they were no help. All they told me was to take it back to them so they could isolate the problem or try programing the remote. Well they have tried and i have tried and still stuck. Please can some one help me get this fixed?
