did you use a relay and resistor when you installed it before?

Have you check the ouptut on the 8000 to see if it's signaling? When you say it worked before, do you mean before you installed the 8000, when the 4000 was installed?

I am also working on a newer dodge and need help wiring the relay.

Can anyone tell me how to hook it up??  I know I need a 1130ohm resistor to trigger the lights.  I just need to know which wire goes where on the relay.

Sorry to hijack your thread... but you may even be able to help me.

to the original poster you can check, if your light output is working at the pin directly from the brain of the alarm, also you'll have to verify if the polarity of the flash is the same a sthe previous alarm, if say ur old alarm was positive and the new is negative it may require an adjustment to ue relay, once you've made sure, you can then check ur relay to make sure it's outputting as it should,

and to stiver are ur lights positive or nrgative trigger.

on a 06 charger there is a white wire with a purple stripe in the passenger kick panel in the harness running to the rear that is a straight 12volt trigger you wont need any resistors for it. and shouldnt need a relay if your alarm does 12volt parking light output

This is exactly correct, however keep in mind that you need to supply the system with enough power to energize that positive parking light wire. Make sure you run your feeds to the battery (or the large constant hot in the same harness as the positive parking lights) to ensure you don't blow the fuse supplying the ignition wires.
