Im currently wiring up a pkall into a 2002 honda s2000. I have the entire alarm wired up, its a 791xv. and I just got the Pkall wired up. I do the programming sequence for the hondas on the pkall and it says it programs the key (the led flashes 10 times), and then i try to remote start it and nothing. The cars dash lights and everything turn on but nothing else, it does not start to crank, now when i put the key into the ignition and then remote start it, it will start.
My wiring on the PKALL is as follows
PURPLE / white + light green are connected to RED / blue (car side data)
ORANGE / brown is connected to RED / blue (key side data)
yellow/black is connected to pink/blue (synchro)
pink is connected to yellow/black (ignition)
blue/white is connected to blue/white ( - status on the alarm)
I can not use D2D because there is no port for it on the 791xv unless im mistaken, so im going w2w.
According to expresskit i do not use ORANGE / green, brown, black, green on the pkall. Has anyone done a remote start on an s2000? It says not to use the green (keysense) wire, do you think its possible i have to?
any help would be appreciated
i have never had this problem with a pkall :(

that doesnt really make sense...

if you remote start with no key in the ignition, it doesnt even crank? but when you got a key in the cylinder and RS, it starts right up? if it was a bypass issue, the car would turn over then stall in a few seconds. On honda's you will usually notice the GREEN keylight if you havent bypassed it properly.

exactly, i have no idea why it wont rs without the key. all the lights turn on like its trying to rs but it wont crank at all. i dont see the green key light either.
sounds like the pkall is just not recognized/memorizing the key?

also, to mention, when im putting the key in, im turning into the on position, if i dont it will not rs. if i stick the key in the cylinder and dont move it to any position it will not start either.

Your last comment makes me think we have an ignition problem here, I don't have enough experience with the car or the module but if it were the by-pass module, it would work with the key anywhere within 4" of the keyhole (without of course having to turn the key on).

make sure you havent missed a second ignition or accessory and that your starter wire connection is going the right way

My guess. He has the GREEN and PURPLE from the R/S reversed.

he said its will start if they key is in the on position

so that would indicate he has some wires either missed or mixed up

That would defeat the starter kill, allowing power through the on-board relay. In other words, the key side is being energized, during R/S. I could be wrong but, I would check your GREEN and PURPLE wires from the R/S.
