Hi again guys. I have decided to order an XK-01 module to interface my door locks and rearm my alarm in the bonneville. I have the 571XV viper remote start kit and originally had thought I could hook it up D2D but after looking at my installation papers, I only see an ESP2 port on the side of the 571xv module. I am assuming this is NOT compatible with the D2D modules. I can wire it up direct W2W and it looks as though that is gonna have to be the case. What is the ESP2 port for? thanks. J

ESP2: Not sure.
D2D: Works about half the time. Poorly implemented, and tech support knows very little if you call.
I have an XK01 in my father's LeSabre (same car as yours) with an Audiovox alarm/starter combo, wired D2D.
It does work well enough, but the window rollup feature doesn't function, and driver's-priority door unlocking isn't available.
So don't feel like you're missing out on much if you don't have a D2D port.....you're probably better off W2W anyway.
I think you'll like the XK01 in your Boneville. Easy to install, duplicates all the factory features. The window rollup option is nice. You'll also like when the rear defroster automatically kicks in at/below 32*F.
P.S. I forget what the default settins are, but don't forget that the driver's-priority unlocking, as well as the window rollup, are both selectable on/off in the XK01's programming. Set them both the way you want before putting the car back together.

Thanks for the info. Gives me reassurance. Can't wait.
