Hey guys, wondering if anyone could be of any insight to this problem.
Remote starting does everything its supposed to (brake shutoff check, tach signal according to alarm brain, hood open interrupt/stop) except the car never actually starts - it just keeps cranking.
The factory alarm relay module has been removed/bypassed, and all other functions of the alarm work as expected.
I jumpered the fuel pump relay so it would be always on - no luck. The car starts manually/key-in/turn this way, but not through the remote start.
The car just keeps cranking for the pre-determined time or until I shut it off manually by pressing brake pedal.
I have a feeling it has to do with some other procedure of factory alarm bypassing fuel pump checking, even though the factory alarm is removed/bypassed.
Suggestions?

Take a look at this and compare your installation: VOLVO

Looks like I have all the wires correct, except for the pulsing of the factory alarm, which was removed/bypassed.
Various combinations of door lock/unlocked while attempting to start don't work either.
I hear the fuel pump priming before the alarm attempts to start the car, but it still just cranks and cranks until the preset time is done.
Anything else I should look for?

Do all the dashboard warning lights come on during remote start attempts.......including during cranking?
Does the blower motor come on during remote start attempts...........but shut off during cranking?
Start the car with the key, while observing all funcions of the car. See if (besides the not starting part), that the car behaves the same way while trying to remote start.

Ok, now there's something.
During key starting: idiot lights come on, stay on during however long it takes for the car to "catch" (maybe 0.5 to 1 sec max), and blower stays on.
During alarm/remote start: idiot lights come on, but turn off during cranking, as does the blower.
I screwed something up, didn't I? One of those scenarios where you swear you checked the wires, but until someone says it out loud, then you look again, you won't find it.
Hopefully that's it. Any ideas what to look for?

If you have a voltmeter, test the ignition switch wires one by one and write down their function as you turn the key at each position. The remote starter must replicate these functions.

It's possible that an "IGNITION" wire is fed like an "ACCESSORY" that is to say that it drops out during the crank cycle during remote start.
