Well I have a CM3000A that I need to program for my diesel start delay for the remote start on my 1999 F350 Powerstroke. It is part of SWSHLED-AS kit.
I found out I need a programmer for the delay. I can buy one online for less than $100.   Do I need software for the OP-500, Compustar's latest programmer? How do I tell if my module has the "Final" firmware in it?
Should I buy the programmer online and do it myself, or go ask a shop to do it? The install is already done, I just need programming.
My other option is to use the "Wait to Start" for the glow plugs and diode isolate it. The CM3000A has both + and - glow plug input, will this work by default or do I have to enable it with the programmer? If no programmer required, perhaps I could just use this and not have to program anything.
Thanks

Ok,
So a little more searching resulted in the installation manual for the CM3000 and not just the wiring manual that I had before.
I think I will get this figured out after all. I still wonder if I should get the programmer for playing around and activating some of the other features for fun?
