Afternoon DIYers
Ive been lurking around this site forever and finally ran into a problem that I couldn't find with the search button.
In my new to me 2001 ford escape I have just isntalled
Cliff 50x7 Remote start
DEI 530T x2 (for front and rear)
DEI 545T Nite-Lite system
My issue is:
The nite-Lite system is actually functioning correctly but the problem is when the low-beams are activated via the photocell I'm only getting half wattage from the low beams. Corners and fog-lights are at full wattage. If I hit the column switch to turn on the headlights manually I get full wattage (normal) low-beam operation.
So basically 545T seems to only be applying half the power to that low beams I cant seem to figure out why. All works normal via the stock headlight switch and everything else works correctly. Am I missing something? I used the wireing diagram here on this forum for my install and am pretty sure I tapped the correct wires.
Any ideas? I do have the 545T disable switched wired up and when I disable the system everything works as normal (high beams, low beam switch)
Both the cars factory fuse box and 545T have a 30Amp fuse and I have checked and double checked all my other connections. I have installed this setup in 3 other cars and have never had this problem the only thing I did different in this install was hook up the orange wire so the headlights would give me the follow me home feature when arming and disarming my security system.
Any help would be great, thanks guys.

you went to (-) RED / white at the column or gem?  maybe your 545t isn't sending enough of a ground or the ground you're using for the module isn't good enough...   if nothing else try using the 545t to trigger a relay to the (-) headlight circuit...
