I just had a Viper 5902 installed into an 09 GTI. He used a DLPK and Key Module..
A few issues.. Truck Release doesn't work... (not a huge issue)
But when you engage the remote start, it should fire up the parking lights. Well, I am getting the headlights on as well. When you unlock the car to get it.. It flashes the headlights, parking lights, etc. (I have to assume that this is not good for the auto leveling, etc headlights to be turning on and off rapidly.)
Nor do I really want the headlights on just for remote start...
The installer at Mickey Shorrs has tried wiring the parking lights a few different ways.. The latest using a relay... And I am still getting headlights.
Any suggestions?
I also had to change the coding for the parking light flash in general as it was double flashing (the cars system for unlocking the doors as well as the alarm's system)

running d2d you shouldnt have any issues. should be able to open the gas door as well.

when you lock the doors with the factory remote does it do this headlight thing? Otherwise you might ahve the wrong wire.

Nope. Parking lights only for all the other functions.
Gas Door Works..
Trunk does not.

Does he have the newest firmware for this vehicle ? Also, the parking lights are independant and he should have used 2 relays as well as diode isolated the wires. RED / WHITE and BLACK/ WHITE at the switch.
