Please explain what starter defeat anti-grind is and what this wire is connected to.

It keeps the remote start unit from attempting to start the vehicle, if it is already running.

It is a starter kill that prevents someone from starting the vehicle with the key if the alarm is armed. If the vehicle is remote started, it will prevent the starter from grinding if the customer turns the key too far.
It is connected to a relay that is in series with starter wire creating an open circuit on the starter wire when that wire is triggered.
