I have installed my own push-button start in my car(a basic hotwire) and need to disable the Passive Anti-Theft system in order to start it without a key in the ignition. if anybody knows how to do this, you help would be much appreciated. i am also looking to install a keyless entry, and help with that would be nice too.

you will need to use a bypass module and wire it the ignition circuit. but once you do that you are then disabling any security whatsoever on your car. If someone smashes a window, what will stop somebody from just pushing the button you installed (being that no key is needed and you now have disabled the transponder)? did you already remove the lock from the steering column?

indeed it does. my suggestion is to keep using your key (unless you are able to build, or purchase a system that will still allow you some measure of security, like being able to still use the factory transponder system unless triggered by RFID on your person, ect....ect).
